DELF & DALF are official certifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education certifying level of fluency in French. Useful for school records and college and job applications in French-speaking countries. Scores valid for life.

The Alliance Française de St. Louis offers the DELF, which is a diploma based on the same levels as the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. We offer the following levels: A1, A2, B1, B2 and DELF Prim. The DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and the DALF (Diplôme Approfondi en Langue Française) are official diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify foreign candidates’ proficiency in French. The DELF B2 affords access to all French universities and to an ever growing number of European and francophone universities, eliminating the need for pre-admission French language tests.

The exams (DELF and DALF) result in a diploma that is similar to a university degree and confirm a language proficiency level that is valid for life. The exams are divided into two parts: listening comprehension, written production and written comprehension are evaluated in a written exam, speaking and oral interaction are assessed in a one-on-one exam.
