New French Classes Start Soon

New classes are coming to the Alliance Française in our next session starting in October! French classes at the Alliance Française are taught by teachers with native French proficiency. Classes meet for 2 hours once per week at the Alliance Française de St. Louis and are enrolled/priced in 6-week sessions.

The deadline to enroll is fast approaching, so if you are interested in joining one of these classes, please contact us! Please note: as the Alliance Française is a membership-based organization, an annual membership is required to register for classes.

New classes

A1.1 Complete Beginner (Starts Oct. 2nd)

Tuesdays 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Tuition: $180 / 6-week session (12 teaching hours)
Textbook: Alter Ego+ A1 - $50

Start your journey here. This class is for complete beginners of French. You will begin to understand and use familiar everyday experiences, learn how to introduce yourself and others and ask/answer questions about personal details, and interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly.


Solange

A1.4 Beginner (Starts Oct. 2nd)

Tuesdays 9:30am - 11:30am
Tuition: $180 / 6-week session
Textbook: Alter Ego+ A1 - $50

Continue your beginner level learning of French in this new A1 Beginner class. This class is not for complete beginners but picks up in the middle of the A1 Beginner level. You will continue to work to understand and use familiar everyday experiences, to introduce yourself and others and ask/answer questions about personal details, and to interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly.


Karla

A2 Advanced Beginner (Starts Oct. 6th)

Saturdays 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Tuition: $180 / 6-week session (12 teaching hours)
Textbook: Alter Ego+ A1 - $50
Instructor: Karla Beck

Continue your French studies in this new A2 Advanced Beginner class. Throughout the A2 level, you will work toward understanding sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance. You will learn to communicate according to simple and routine tasks requiring simple and direct exchanges of information on familiar and routine matters. And you will engage in describing, in simple terms, aspects of your background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
