Please welcome our new teacher!

Heather Bourassa

We’d like to give a warm welcome to our newest teacher at the Alliance Française de St. Louis, Heather Bourassa!

Heather comes to us after working in Switzerland as an independent speech and language therapist for the last 5 years. She grew up in Canada where she attended a French speaking school. She went on to attend the University of Alberta where she double majored in Linguistics and French. She also received a Modern Languages and Cultural Studies certificate in French-English translation studies. She completed her education and qualified as a speech pathologist at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.

She recently moved to St. Louis for her husband’s work and is excited to have found a French-speaking community in the area. After moving here, Heather became a member of our Cercle de lecture book club, and we are excited to now have her as part of our teaching staff!

Starting in our summer session, which begins July 13th, Heather will be teaching two children’s phonetics classes. These classes are a great addition to your child’s French studies as they offer additional opportunities to work on mastering pronunciation. In addition, Heather offers private phonetics classes for both adults and children.
