Rebekah is a native of St. Louis. She developed a love of the French language early on and studied it through college and at the Alliance Française in her young adult years. She became particularly interested by European culture after doing a study tour across western Europe in 2007, and then completing a five-month internship with Associated Press Television News in Brussels, Belgium.
After receiving a bachelor's in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2009, she returned to St. Louis where she worked in corporate communications for five years. In 2014, she moved to Paris, France to participate in the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF), which affords the opportunity to teach English in a French high school. She remained in Paris for three years and then moved back to St. Louis in October 2017.
In addition to teaching French, Rebekah manages a local blog and enjoys spending time with family and friends and eating French cooking! She and her husband Jean-Christophe have one young daughter.
