Synopsis
After a sudden tragedy leaves her orphaned, a young girl named Sandy is adopted by a generous stranger and moved far from her homeland. Despite the warmth and comfort of her new family, she struggles with severe social anxiety and isolates herself at her new school. However, with the support of a kind classmate and a profound realization of her adoptive family's unconditional love, Sandy begins a remarkable transformation, discovering her inner confidence and learning to embrace her new life.
About the Author
Gilles Mpembele, PhD, MBA, is an Engineering Manager at Boeing and an adjunct faculty member at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) and St. Louis University (SLU), where he teaches Renewable Energy Systems, Power Systems, and Power Electronics. He is a published author of opinion papers on the development and strengthening of fragile states. Dr. Mpembele holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, an MBA from Lindenwood University, a Master's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bridgeport, and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kinshasa.
