Make your French skills official with a DELF certification.

The DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française) is an official certification awarded by the French Ministry of Education certifying the level of fluency in French. The exam results in a diploma that is similar to a university degree and confirms a language proficiency level that is valid for life. This can be useful for school records, college/job applications, and moving to a French-speaking country.

The Alliance Française de St. Louis offers the DELF for adults (DELF tout public), children ages 8-12 (DELF prim), and children/teens ages 12-17 (DELF junior and scolaire). We offer levels A1.1, A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2; the levels correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The exams are divided into two parts: written and oral. The written exam assesses listening comprehension, written production, and written comprehension. The oral exam assesses speaking and oral interaction in a one-on-one setting.
