New French Phonetics and Geography Classes Start Soon!
We are thrilled to announce the return of one of our teachers, Martin Maillot, to the Alliance Française! Martin is back to offer his two highly popular French classes: French Phonetics (A1-A2) and La France de Votre Fauteuil / French Geography (B1+).
Each class will begin on Thursday, September 3 and will run for eight weeks. Whether you are looking to improve your French pronunciation or travel to France without ever leaving your seat, we encourage you to enroll in one of these classes! Space is limited - enroll today!
French Phonetics (A1-A2) - Wednesdays at 9:30am
It is often said that the French find the American accent to be ‘charmant’. However when your accent starts to interfere with effective communication, it can easily go from ‘charmant’ to ‘choquant’! During our eight weeks together, we will explore a broad range of topics including production, intonation, rhythm, and accentuation. Students will both simultaneously improve their speaking abilities while also discovering why the French language sounds the way it does!
When: Wednesdays 9:30am - 11:30am starting September 3
Duration: 8 Weeks
Where: In-Person at the Alliance Française or on Zoom
Cost: $280 ($17.50/hour of instruction)
If you are not yet a member of the Alliance Française de St. Louis, an annual membership is required to enroll (see below).
La France de Votre Fauteuil (B1+) - Wednesdays at 12:00pm
Travel to France without ever leaving St. Louis in La France de Votre Fauteuil. During this eight-week class, tailored for B1+ level students, we will journey through the rich landscapes and cultural heritage of France, learning the specialties of each region and the role they play in the vast jigsaw puzzle we call France.
When: Wednesdays 12:00pm - 2:00pm starting September 3
Duration: 8 Weeks
Where: In-Person at the Alliance Française or on Zoom
Cost: $280 ($17.50/hour of instruction)
If you are not yet a member of the Alliance Française de St. Louis, an annual membership is required to enroll (see below).
